Thread: Scroll saw blades

There must have been something about the wee thingy you liked... after all you did buy it! lol Or did it look lonley and you just didn't have it in you to abandon a cute little thingy? If you'r big hearted how about getting a big brother for the wee thingy? That would solve all the problems with the blades <G> (and the wee thingy wouldn't feel lonely anymore)
I can see little designer scroll saws developing..... they pay big bucks for designer dogs now......

Well Juvy ol mate getting a scroll mate for the present wee one isnt such a bad idea really... I could simply bolt the little one down on young 11 year old Joshys work bench and we could have scroll saw joustin matches!! But talking with Joe at the store seems that Carbetec have moved totally to Delta scroll saws so Im wonderin are they any good?

And yes tools do in fact BREED!... like bloody rabbits if you let them!!

three people bring their own Deltas to the scroll meetings of our club ( including myself) and the club owns 2.
You might not be able to cut wood as thick as the real expensive machines, but on the other hand... you can buy a lot of wood for the $1000 you save!
Maybe I'm just too impatient, reading what other's have to say I seem to be the only one who can't get good results with wood 1" and over.
We have a regular show and tell at the club and looking at all the scroll work I sure can't see any difference in the results between the expensive and saws and my little Delta.

Sounds like a super idea giving your little saw to your son... right age to have his own and also great reason to share a bit of shed time

Just checked ... you're right.... tools DO breed... I counted.... there are now 5.. yes FIVE dremel tools!!!!!
One's attached to it's own router table ( that's in MY tool room in the house lol) one's actually out in Ken's shed, two are hanging ready for jobs with different bits in them by my bench... oh and one.... it's a golf cleaner that Ken fixed so I can use those teeny tiny drill bits... I take it with me to the scroll workshop to drill the holes I forgot to drill at home.. very handy! uho..... guess that means four of them are in my room! lol

Question is... does anyone know what to feed little tools so they grow up into healthy BIG tools? You know.. little belt sanders into big ones or little thicknesser into ones that are strong enough to thickness redgum?
