I can not take a trick at the moment. The Maleny Wood show is on this week end. My wife and I love Monteville which is next door. But because we are going on holidays and heading to Bright in Victoria and arrive on the 9th we miss the Albury Scroll sawing show this week end.
Then we head to Canberra to visit some relatives for a week where the highlight for them will be to meet up with Kev 07 at a Caucus function the night prior to the budget.
To add to that, the Brisbane Wood working show is on the following week and we will be in Scone.
Three things I would have liked to have done but because of timing missed out.

How about making another trip in August then? We'll have our club's scrollsaw weekend then!
Will post details on that later.
Had a peek at all the beautiful things people have brought to the show today.... Amazing!!!! Can't wait to go tomorrow and find out what pieces won. I tell you... no way would I want to be a judge on any of these shows.... there are way too many deserving pieces to make choices!

Worth a visit to this show. Lots of pieces on display including scroll saw, carving, turning, pyography, furniture ........ Free parking, cheap food, friendly people, tools, accessories, timber and machines for sale.
I loved the redgum shaker table that won first prize and best in the show prize. It was well finished and deserved the prizes.- Wood Borer

Wood borer, I'm glad you enjoyed it, because I was totally and utterly disappointed in it.
At least half of the suppliers that they advertised as being there were not, and that was my main reason for going.
All in all I feel like I wasted 2 hours of my life that I won't get back.

Geoff.... I'm sorry you were disappointed. As far as I know the only who didn't show up was the guy who was supposed to sell wood.... was told he rolled his car, so really had a good excuse for not being there.
If you were looking for MIK International, they are in receivership.
Woodborer - I'm glad you enjoyed it..... too bad I didn't know anyone from this forum was going to be there. I was there in back on one of the scroll saws this afternoon, would have enjoyed meeting you.

There was at least one other forumite there - Woodgrub.
Sorry you didn't like it Geoff, I guess one man's meat is another man's poison. I didn't hear of any other negative comments.- Wood Borer

Others that I didn't see there included:
Bruce Wallis Engineering,
Carba-tec (Melbourne),
Triton Manufacturing,
Kellys of Wodonga,
Gasweld of Albury,
Lucas Mills.
Maybe I just didn't look hard enough
I did see some items from Carbatecs range on other stands, but I don't consider this as having Carbatec at the show. Maybe just my way of seeing things.
The quality of the entrants exhibits was top notch, just not my cup of tea, though the tiger wall hanging was for mine, the stand out of the show. The same exhibitor had several other entries that were just as good.

Would have to ask about the one's you missed..... not sure they had reserved a space?
I agree with you on the tiger... that was magnificent.... was told it sold!

I know one of our club's members took photos, will have to ask to see if he's got one of the tiger.
I'm sure someone took one..... maybe someone else reading this ???

Sorry to hear that Geoff.
Yet you liked the Tiger, so you must have enjoyed the exhibits!
Yes, you are correct in saying that:

It is unfortunate that they were not in attendance.
When I was advised to the list of "Who are comming" I published this as early as possible to let people know who had shown an interest in attending.
However a few of them pulled out as registrations closed.
Carba-Tec were represented by the Stan the Man from WMS.
It is my understanding that the person to do the show left the company.
Triton manufacturing pulled out as the representitive no longer does demonstration as he had an accident.
Kelly's strung us along and finally decided not to attend, but left it late to let us know.
I was told that J & C Thin Timbers had a serious car accident on the way to the show and are all ok, but the same can't be said for the van after the rollover.
By the Way, I have attached some pictures I have of the Tiger for you.
More photo's to come, about another 600, after I have processed them and will upload to our web site soon and will post a link.Woodgrub
