Anybody know anything about this old scrollsaw ?
Noticed a thread asking what scrollsaws people use.
I've got this one....bought at an auction. ($100 ?? don't remember exactly) ...works ok. I haven't had much use for it yet.
Pretty shore it was origionally foot activated, then someone installed a motor and switch as it is presently.
Interesting looking old thing. Thought somebody might know a bit about its history..

Looks pretty good. Want to get an old one like that one day, preferrably a treadle style one.
Take a look at Rick Hutchesons page, you might find it there or he might be able to help with information

From that link you gave me oges, I found a similar looking barnes saw. Interesting to see how the pedal used to be arranged.
Makes me wonder, maybe I should remove the motor and attempt restoring it to origional...
but then, thats just another thing to add to the list. thanks mate.

It would look good with a nice bit of timber as the pedal. I guess it would depend on how many modifications they made getting it motorised as to how difficult it would be going back to the original style.

try and catch up on a few posts.
Thanks HJO for the link.
I don't know where it origionally came from. I purchased it at an auction here in Kyogle from an old tool hauder. So, he might have got it from Wellington.
