Thread: Striped Oval Bowl

Made this oval bowl from Pine, Birch Plywood and Walnut, all scraps. I made a raft consisting of Walnut in the center then the plywood then the pine then alternating out to the end. All the pieces were 8 inches long by 7/8 wide by 3/4 thick. All of the pieces were glued top to bottom to make the raft. The rings started out at 3/8 in. thick and were cut at 27 degrees left side down table tilt.
Unfortunately one of the rings rotated a little when I put it in the press and I did not notice. . . . still it looks interesting. The finish is Tung Oil. The bowl is about 7 1/2 long and 4 high.
