You are right Graeme scrolling does get you in. There is a new world out there to be had and the beauty of it is that it's very skillful but not all that expensive for material or equipment. Keep up the good work.

I forgot to add some details:
The truck, trailer and cars on the trailer were cut from Porta Pine DAR 90x45mm, 1.2m length which gave me 2 complete units with some left over. Cut on the scroll saw with a Pegas MG #12 blade. It cut ok, a bit slow so maybe this one better suited to a small band saw.....
The fendered cars (12 in all) were cut from Porta Pine DAR 90x30mm, 1.2m length, all 12 cars come from one length with some left over. Used a Pegas MG #12 blade and had no problems cutting. Fenders were cut from 12mm pine left over from another project, Pegas MG #5 blade used.
Still deciding whether to paint them, stain them or leave as is...
The low profile silhouette cares were cut from left over 19mm cypress pine and will be clear coated, Pegas MG #7 blase used to cut.

Scroll sawing is certainly addictive I don't think it has quite taken off like in other places but it will when people appreciate the skill required to complete projects.

I dislike my scrollsaw. Whenever I go on it, whole days just DISAPPEAR!
