This is a beginners attempt at intarsia, thought I would use paints on this one instead of the wood grain effect, everyone I have shown it to likes it.I quite enjoyed doing this one, might try some more, can only improve with practise.
Peter.

You have just opened a great door for your self. I don't do intarsia any more but when i was doing it I got a lot of enjoyment out of it. There are many books and plans out there to work with and getting bits and pieces of timber together and fitting the colours together is a big interest on it's own.
Keep up the good work

Great work Peter!
Just looking into a scroll saw now and that looks like the fun stuff I'd like to do!

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "wolfbunny".
You'll find a heap of helpful and knowledgeable blokes and ladies on the forum and for most, very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork like Peter has as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [work in progress] photos & build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers, crowie
