Winter Tokidoki puzzles
I just finished this one. I don't know whether Australia's children and been bitten by these goofy characters, but they are only moderately popular here in the U.S. but are all the rage in Mexico and elsewhere.
The puzzle is from a Tokidoki calendar, 13" square, 272 pieces cut from 1/4" 5-ply poplar. It was a dream to cut for a color-line cutter like me. (Yes, I do realize that the puzzle is "winter" in the northern hemisphere.)

My son hasnt mentioned anything about these characters yet, so maybe they havent become the rage in Australia just yet.
But another great looking puzzle there Carter.
Do you put any coating on the puzzle image to protect it from use, or do you just glue the picture onto the ply and leave it as is?Brett

Before I start cutting, I spray the mounted picture with one thick coat of any "triple-thick glaze" spray. It's usually available where craft supplies are sold. Otherwise, I'm sure any real glossy acrylic spray would be fine.
By the way, folks, our son Tim Johnson, has been to Sydney and other Australian locations quite a few times in the past year. He's a director/producer of animated films for Dreamworks, He directed "Over the Hedge" and was the executive producer for the "How to Train Your Dragon". He's working on the production of two live shows, one based on Kung Foo Panda and the other on the Dragon theme. The latter should open in your country close to this time next year.
