Correct application of Renderlock Mesh...
Hi All,
I am applying mesh onto old terracotta blocks, 260L by 300mm H on recommendation of a plasterer, to avoid seeing the old mortar joins through the new layer.
The terracotta wall butts up to a brick wall, the join is free floating, IE Not keyed in to each skin of material.
I have cut an right angle into the corner of the bricks and meshed across the gap, anchoring into the bricks...
I have used spaghetti and wall dogs where I cant get a good solid anchor for clouts.
My question is, How much movement is acceptable in the mesh?
2. How solid should the substrate under the mesh be, in some places it is loose mortar, will the mesh cover me in these places?
Thanks Fellas!!
L.
