Deck Calculator
I've just added a deck calculator (just the boards) to blocklayer.com.
http://www.blocklayer.com/DeckCalculator.aspx
You enter deck width and length, board width, optimal gap and board length and it works out total lengths, running measurements for spacing, last cut etc.
Theres buttons to add and remove a board, adjusting the gap, or cut the last board to fit.
It starts off with results displayed, so you can see how it works.
So what is a standard (common) board width, length and gap to set it at?
It's currently set at 75mm wide boards with 3mm gaps and 3 metre long boards and allows 5% lineal waste.
If you select 'Cut Last Board' it won't cut under 25mm wide (it adjusts gaps for 25 min). Is this an acceptable minimun width for the last board?
Thanks for any feedback or ideas
