Flooring Heights
I am currently in the design stage of my 2nd story addition to an old victoria town house. The existing part of the house that is to remain has solid would floors but these need to be replace. I am currently trying to decide wheather to replace these with either solid timber flooring or engineered flooring over yellow tongue. My biggest concern however is making sure that the floor hight remains consistant where the wood floor meets the kitchen tiles and again that there is no rise/step where it meets the BiFold exteria doors. For these reasons I am thinking the engineered flooring might be better as then both the tiles & floor would sit over the yellow tongue. Is there another way to do this if I went with solid wood flooring?
Thanks
