House Flood - Moisture in the walls
Hi Guys, Last week my dishwasher hose broke and i ended up with around 8 hours of solid water gushing out and flooding the 90% of the house.
I've since had the insurance assessor out to inspect the damage and he recommended cutting holes into the plaster walls and dying out the walls, as i've notice nearly all the skirting is slowly seperating from the wall. However one of the cleanup companies they use briefly dropped in for probably 2 minutes had a look and said he'll back next week with a moisture tester but he believes the walls aren't affected.
How can i tell if there has been any damage or that mositure hasn't got into the internal walls.
All up the flood damaged all our carpets, floorboards have lifted, kitchen, blinds lanudry, toliet tiles were all destroyed :~
cheers
