Internal curved walling inside silo stairwell
Hi All,
I have a stairwell that is inside a curved wall cylinder. See attached picture. Basically it looks like a silo, and a spiral staircase goes inside. The studs are steel c-sectioned, standard steel wall studs.
Now i want to line the internal wall surface with plywood, 7mm stuff seems to curve fine. The 2 issues I have are
1. Fixing
2. Finished were the sheets but together
Fixing - I was thinking of gluing to the studs and screwing with ? Any suggestions for screw type? Countersunk would seem obvious , but I worried about them pulling all the way thru?
Finishing - where sheets of ply butt together, should I taper the edge first and then fill the joints with tape and bog like gyprock type sheets.
cheers
