Tiling - Prep it yourself?
Gday folks!
The is my ugly bathroom - ----->
Walls are solid brick covered in plaster.
We are resurfacing the bath, replacing taps and vanity, and retiling.
My question is should I prep it myself? I plan to rip it out myself. I am thinking on the walls, you could not tile straight onto the plaster - so cement sheet would screwed/ glued on. We are planning to tile half way up the walls all around the room.
The floor is a concrete slab - but given the small area, I was thinking of using cement sheet on there too - basiacally just covering all areas to be tiled in cement sheet, then getting in the tiler. Would this be the goer?
Also, once I have mounted the sheet - should I waterproof with waterproof resin? - Will the thinset stick to this?
