I've already asked a few tiling questions... but here are some more;

1. My wall tiles are ceramic 30x60cm and 11mm thick. I was going to use a 10mm trowel. Is this sufficient or should I go up a size to 12mm?

2. I assume the total thickness of the finished wall to the substrate will be the tile thickness + 1/2 the trowel size? E.g. 11mm (tile) + 6mm (for a 12mm trowel).

3. It looks like my tiled wall will be very thick. The tiled wall will be thicker than the architraves. I am wondering if this look will be acceptable. The tiles will go around a door and a window. The architraves are about 11mm thick, so the tiles will protrude about another 5mm above that. I could buy thicker architraves... if I knew where to get them from.

4. Walls or floors first? I believe that floors should go first. (Or tile walls without bottom row first, then floors, then bottom row of wall. But this is kinda the same thing as floor first).

I'm sure I will have more questions over the next few days :)

Thanks for any help.
