i am a complete newbie at this home renovation subjects so here goes. We are a couple of weeks from settlement and the property has tiles through out the internals. During property inspection the architect made a mention that the tiles are over timber floorboards and some have cracks due to flexing. Anyhow, we are not a fan of tiles and would like "some sort" of timber type flooring rather than the tiles and the two obv (imho) options are: 1/ Carefully remove tiles, sand back to original timber floors. However the owner (who commissioned the tiles) thinks they were glued directly to the timber floors 2/ Engineered board like "Armourfloor® UltraCote flooring" as an example over the tiles. This will raise the floor height some more So what are the pros and cons to each option? Thx in advance
