Default Does epoxy bond to CA?

If I wick lots of thin CA into a crack before beginning to turn a piece of timber, then find an unexpected void deeper down, (now partly coated with thin CA), can I fill the void with (coloured) epoxy and have it bond well to the CA?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I have found that - in general - you can. It tends to delaminate if applied to a polished surface finished with CA... but in that case there's nothing for the epoxy to key into. So long as there's a rough(ish) surface in the void - or perhaps it widens out below the surface - then it should be workable regardless of whether it's sealed with a thin CA.

In a few worse case scenarios, such as smooth-sided grub holes I've used an awl to scratch some grooves deep into the sides to key the epoxy, but that's more a case of me playing 'better safe than sorry.'
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Thanks for that reassurance, Skew. I didn't fancy trying to clean off the CA. Scratching with an awl or similar is a good idea, too.
