    Default Clear glue

I'm looking for suggestions for filling knots and cracks in timber being used for making jewellery boxes. So no load on it simply looking for a clear translucent finish. Not after a quick dryer per say, happy to set aside for 24 hrs to get a hard set. It would need rubbing back with plane, orbital sander or by hand with paper.

    Any recommendations?

West Systems 105 epoxy resin & 205 fast hardener. Doesn't smell as bad as casting resin, nor does it have the suspected of causing cancer warning on it. M2CW.

No, but the hardener has these 2 (among several others) that are just as bad:

H341 Suspected of causing genetic defects
H371 May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure

Just so's not to spook the OP the potential cancer problem disappears with casting resin and other epoxies once they have cured. There should be no problems if adequate ventilation and gloves are used. For small jobs like yours I would not even bother with a mask.

Yeah, the stuff smells a bit but a couple of open windows will do just fine.
