Which glue for cedar window frame mortise and tennon joints.
I have made a new cedar frame for a window with mortise and tennon joints.
Did the mortice and tennon joints as a first attempt at using my router table.
This window cops a lot of rain in winter - the old window frame was rotten.
Which is the best type of glue to use?
I have a white wood glue from Aldi made in Germany - which seems pretty good stuff when used for internal wood repairs.
The second option is some white construction adhesive from Aldi made in Germany.
The third option is Selleys super strength construction adhesive.
Or some thing else?
And do the construction adhesives expand more than PVA wood glue?
Thanks in advance

Epoxy or polyurethane
Don't use regular white PVA, it's not waterproof

Should not require glue if the joints are correctly made and the frame designed correctly

Thanks to everyone for the quick replies.
I signed up for this forum ages ago, but I must have only browsed the site and this was my first post.
I like the epoxy word. Have used JB Weld in the past for metal repairs and it is good stuff.
I don't think my m&t joints are good enough to go without any glue or adhesive. But I did copy the joint on the original frame, which also has a half cut on the edge that supports the window glass, so it looks fairly strong.
Other windows I have worked on have not been as bad, and I have used epoxy and sawdust to repair small parts of damaged wooden window frame.
I tried Earls Wood Hardener also. But I found it difficult to work out if the product was actually making any difference on loose wood fibres. I just ended up digging out loose timber and cutting small wood patches to fit.
