Default What glue or goop for freezing?

Whilst not woodwork, this is a glue question.

I have just purchased a new freezer and the top of the door seal is prone to easily pulling out of the slot in the door. This results in profuse condensation (esp during rainy weather) which then freezes in position.

    The cause:

I will contact the supplier/agent but I expect them to be slow to remedy (not even sure if a new seal will fix it), so in the mean time the question is:
What glue or goop or snotty substance will work in a -18°C environment? It only needs to be tacked into position I think, so maybe some double sided tape?
I don't really want it stuck very firmly because it could quite easily rip the seal apart (being condom thin and all that).

If this is brand new I wouldn't try anything before the agent is contacted ,if you can with permission of agent use small amount of silicone clear that may do the trick.

I have contacted the agent, and a chap is coming out in a week. However, in the interim, after discussing double-sided tape with the agent ("do what you have to do") I went to pull the seal out of the slot....and it was quite difficult! It seems it has never been properly put into place either at the factory or the 2-3 times I put it back.

Silicone sounds like a good suggestion though - thanks!
