Glue for spotted gum laminations -handrail
Hi
I'm making a laminated curved handrail for a staircase from thin pieces of spotted gum. I plan to clamp them progressively in place to build up the handrail shape.
Searching thru the forum - it seems that people have recommended epoxy glue?
Can anyone recommend a specific brand and where I might get it
- I'm in Mudgee and dont have any specialist stores only m10 & Bunnings
Any suggestions appreciated
Steve

Hi Garlo, and welcome to a great forum
I've done a fair bit of laminating Spotted Gum and always used Titebond II with excellent results. Unless there are unusual stresses involved epoxy might be an expensive overkill. You can order Titebond from Carbatec in different sizes.
Even though Spotty is a slightly greasy timber the Titebond is fine.
