    Default Glue tests

Because of a recent coopering job, I have a large number of bluegum offcuts all the same size, so I'd like to use them to conduct an objective test of a number of different types of glue and timber preparation methods.

Does anyone have access to a load tester that could be used to apply a tension load to a number of strips under test? I'd be looking to do the tests sometime in October.

No one's come up with a load tester yet.

Contact a local university engineering department and see if anybody there wants to do it as a thesis topic? A lot of uni's have that sort of gear.

The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Thanks Peter. Just realised, the young bloke across the road is doing Civ. Eng., he may be looking for a final year structures project. Hmmm.
