Gluing American Oak
Hi everyone. I've never used American Oak before and I'm interested to know what people advise to use for gluing it.
It is for an interior project, stair strings and treads. I've been told Titebond 50 is OK but would appreciate any other advice.

Thanks for the reply. That's the sort of answer I like to hear. I've had people telling me 'you'll have to wipe the surfaces with meths first' which didn't seem right, but as my experience with US Oak was zero, thought it might pay to ask in a woodworking forum. Cheers!
