Default Gluing clear polycarbonate sheet to wood

Does anyone know what would be the best glue to use to attach polycarbonate sheet to timber?

I want to make a Longworth chuck for the lathe from 10mm clear polycarbonate sheet and use a threaded wood block on the back to screw onto the lathe spindle. I'll probably use 4 or 6 countersunk screws through the poly into the timber, but want to also glue them together for added security.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Edit: My eyes lit up when I saw the other earlier thread on gluing polycarbonate, but soon found that it refers to gluing polycarbonate to itself and not to timber.

I've used medium density CA glue with success when I made the plywood/polycarbonate bowl but you will need to let it cure for at least 24 hours whilst clamped.

Thanks for that Peter. I was sort of leaning toward CA myself. I only have the thin stuff, but can soon get some 'Medium'.

24 hours clamp time is no worry. I'll centre and clamp it on the lathe, so I'll plan some non-turning stuff for a day while the glue dries. The screws can be added after the glue has cured, to make sure everything stays well centred.

This is another long-term project. I'm mainly just planning it at the moment. First I have to finish my vacuum chuck system. Almost ready for assembly. Just waiting on the last couple of bits and pieces.
