    Default MDF laminating

    I have a question about laminating sheets of MDF for a bench top, Rob Cosman style top.
    I think PVA is the cost effective solution here. I was just wondering if anyone had any other thoughts.
    Which PVA ? will it have a long enough working time ? should I go with a cross linked PVA or just the vanilla variety.
    Interested in your thoughts.

    I made some coffee tables for a client a few years ago with two layers of 18mm MDF for the tops. I used Titebond Original spread with a 3mm notched glue spreader. No particular reason for choosing Titebond other than it comes in 3.8L containers.

    With the surface area involved it shouldn't matter what glue (though cross link is always better) spread it continuously - not just squiggles! If it is melamine coated use contact adhesive.
