Will PVA wood glue adhere to spar urethane?
I'm building something in basically 2 sections, and because of the nature of it I decided to coat 1 section in spar urethane before assembling. now that I think about it I would like to use wood glue to reinforce a part of it, but one half already has a spar urethane coat. Will wood glue adhere to it?

In a few words...very poorly.
The best option is to machine or scrape the finish off where you want to glue...I often do this with sheet goods......prefinish and machine the joints.
even if you sanded and used an epoxy, the joint would only be as good as the remaining film of finish.
you need to get to bare clean wood....now that you have finished this means below the finished surface.
cheersAny thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
Most powertools have sharp teeth.
People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.
