How to tape greaseproof paper
I am using non-siliconised Multix greaseproof paper in a veneer press to stop adjacent cauls from being glued to the veneer from any excess glue being squeezed out.
Does anyone know of a tape that will hold down this greaseproof paper to a caul, which could be made of MDF or any other timber?
I tried the manufacturer, but their customer service officer didn't knowregards,

Dengue,
I encountered just this problem a month or so ago. I tried about six different tapes that I had on hand without much success. I did find that if I wiped the area of the greaseproof paper that I wanted to tape with a rag that had been wet with Turps, then some adhesive tapes would kinds stick to the greaseproof paper after the turps had dried.
But a much easier way that I found was to tack the greaseproof paper to the cauls using upholstery staples - I just adjusted the stapler so that it did not fully drive the staples, making it easy to remove the half-driven staples afterwards.
My neighbour who's been building furniture much longer than me says that he sticks 2" wide adhesive plastic packing tape to the cauls. Normal woodworking glues apparently won't stick to the plastic packing tape. I haven't tries the packing tape method, but he says it works.
Hope that info helps .....

Alternative to greaseproof
Baking paper - I use the Glad-bake brand and I just tested it and the tape sticks to it - not great but that might be my tape
