Default Tassie Blackwood goes greenish when I use titebond. Alternatives?

I've found that tassie Blackwood tends to go greenish when I glue it with titebond. What glues do others use when making panels using Blackwood?

    cheers,

Interesting! I have used both Titebond Original and Titebond III with Tas blackwood with no problem. Suspect that it may be something other than these two components that is causing the problem.

I think I'll try some polyurethane glue too. Even the slightest bleed of titebond onto the Tassie blackwood causes it to discolour. Attempts to wipe excess off with a damp rag make the situation worse.

I've also found PVA to react with Blackwood. PU is the way to go.

Is the glue coming into contact with your steel clamps?

In my experience, there's no metal of any kind needed to get the discolouration.

No, it isn't. I've seen black staining from that. This is quite different. I'll try and photograph it and post some pics.

This always happens with any type of PVA that I've used on blackwood. Don't know about PU, but no problem with epoxy.

I have also experienced the green tinge on blackwood from pva and have used PU on blackwood with success, interestingly, I also get the green tinge on raintree, maybe it's a brown couloured timber thing .
It is usually only skin deep so a few shaves with the plane and it's gone.

I have no problem With Titebond Original and II with Blackwood that I have. Since it's reported to also happen with Raintree whether it is a reaction with the tannins in those timbers?

I've also had it happen with American Walnut, not nearly as bad as Blackwood, but still noticeable.
Maybe it reacts with whatever makes timber brown
