toughened acrilic
Does any one know of this type of glue? Had some years ago found in a rubbish skip. Its a 2 part -one thick and clear (kinda like epoxy) and the other in a brush on bottle marked as annaline (brown liquid). Apply one to each surphace and put together. Sets in seconds and appears to be at least as strong as 24 hour epoxy. Have asked around and no one seems to know what I'm on about. The original product was about 200mm for the tube and a little bottle of the anniline (much like a liquid paper bottle) looked industrial. Was great stuff would love to have some around again for the odd job or 2.

Aniline (with other additives) was used as a curing agent in some epoxy resin glues to modify the properties of the cured joint. I think it was used in the aircraft construction industries. The property changes relate to its high temperature performance so I doubt that it would be applicable to general woodworking.
