    Default Undoing TITEBONDII

Team, has anyone had any success with undoing Titebond II, if so how did you do it?

I have put a piece of 2.7mm ply in the base of a box (rebated in), but hadn't realised that the width of the insert was narrower an the recess so in essence when the clamps came off the result was a concave curve on the side of box...... stupid mistake, and is highly visible when he lid is not on.
so I want to undo it and cu a wider piece of ply to put in.

or I can live with it as a "see what happens when you don't measure correctly" kind of lesson. It is or someone, but not a commission piece, so i'm debating as to whether to leave as is or re-do.

I have had success with a steam iron on a ukulele neck with titebond 3 (which is waterproof) it softens the glue enough to separate it. I don’t know how much success you will have with ply in a rebate though?

I had to get a M&T joint apart which had been done with Titebond Original and used a domestic steam cleaner and it was a very quick process.

You can softyen t with white vinegar if it hasn't been too long, but try it in an inconspicuous place, as vinegar can darken some woods.
