I have several routers and I have to say my favorite has a couple of very desirable things about it (I won't mention names). It's a soft-start plunge router. I have 1/4", 8mm and 1/2" collets for it as I refuse to use reducers due to a almost accident once. The switch and plunge lever are such that I don't have to let go of the handles while working them. It's also variable speed and will take a large diameter bit. It will also take PC type collars with an adapter. It also has a very nice edge guide (though it cost extra). So far it does everything I want. I have other 1/2", 1/4" and laminate routers, but this one is my favorite.

Please mention the name. You're giving it a good rap! Sounds like a $1500 Festo.
Cheers,
Adam
