    Default AEG MF1400KE runout prices.

    Hi All,

Short story ... the AEG MF1400KE is on runout at Bunnings, from $399 down to $149 (at my local bunnings)

Why did I get this router?

Recently I have been endeavouring to get an older Makita 3612 set up in a router table wing on a table saw.

One of the challenges despite the router playing up was that it had no table-top raising options. I did see a router raizer as an option, but given the 3612 is playing up I didn't want to jump yet.

The AEG MF1400KE router stands out for having a basic winding mechanism built in as did the Triton routers.

I just had a very pleasant surprise when buying some drill bits and saw the clearance price, I grabbed it in a snap. I am sure a proper router lift would be better and there are better routers, but for that price and my use case, it was perfect!

So if you are after one - maybe see if they have any left in your bunnings

    Hi Mote,

That was a good price. I've been looking at this router for a while. Just checked with a couple of my Bunnings, they have a few but price is $249. Wonder if each store sets their own prices on these.

Yeah they aren't on the website anymore. But they still had two in stock.

It seems the original markdown as $249 then last few were dropped to $125. I think it is at the stores discretion.

Hi Mote, thanks for posting the pic of the shelf ticket. Took it to my local Bunnings and they said they couldn't price match as it is a deleted item but they spoke to their manager and offered me a unit for $180. Not bad considering last week this was advertised on AEG's website at $399 and shelf list price is now $249. I thought it was interesting that they have deleted the item as AEG have labelled it is a new product, so I'm wondering if there have been issues with it. At least it has a six year warranty if anything comes up.

I have it and like it - but note that the winder tool conflicts with the dust port mounting screw on one side: judicious drilling out of the plastic dust shroud and filing down the head of the screw will solve the problem... (should be obvious when you put it all together)

Moreyfield in Brisbane Northside has apparently 3 left on their inventory but I could only see the display model left.
Was $249, the manager reduced it to $150 so I bought one..

Rang around & found Newstead had 1 in the box plus 1 on display. I got the one in the box knocked down to $200 when I asked for a better price. Put aside for Father’s Day.
Was told that any store with 1 in stock it will be display unit. More than 1 & they should have new boxed routers. Cannon Hill were showing 3 in case this helps anyone

I just picked one up today from Bunnings in Scoresby. Great price at $125. I’ve mounted it to a Triton table but still have to drill the hole for the winder. I think I’ll make a metal winding tool to replace the flimsy plastic one that it came with.
