Default Availablity of 3.5" (89 mm) diameter Round Routers in Australia?

I bought a Router Lift , that is designed for a 3.5" diameter Router. This wasn't a concern as I was going to only use a Trimmer Router in it.

I have since thought about the possibilty of getting a larger router for this Lift, in case Ineed more power and/or this trimmer craps out on me.

Numerous searches and enquires has not come up with one.

Its leading me to believe that these are not sold in Australia?

The Lift is 'Oldskool' brand, which is made in the USA.

Maybe these are a common size over there.

The B&D router I had found is 105mm in diameter, so initially, it won't fit.

Does anyone have any info on this size Router over here?

    The blurb from the website:

This is a variant of one of the models specified in your blurb. It's on an Australian site but is 110V so would need a step down transformer. From my limited knowledge of round body Routers available here they are all Trimmer size so therefore not big kW ratings. It's not until you step up to the bigger 106.7mm router motors that you get in to the higher power units which can take the 1/2" collets too. DeWalt does have the D26204K-XE at 900W but nowhere can I find what the diameter of the body is.

Thanks. Using 110V would be a pain.
So the 3.5" diameter Round routers must be a US thing. All the ones I have seen over here are 105mm.

I know what you mean about not finding the diameters in the specs. I had the same problem.

I had a look at the Lift again today and it looks like it has enough material in to that I can machine is out to 105mm, without weakening it too much, so that is an option.
Not an easy option, but an option......

The Router Lift was so cheap compared to other well known brands that machining it out to 105, if I decide to, is an option.
