On a budget?
I know some of you will cringe at this.......
I am in the market for a router table and I found this on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....sPageName=WDVW
At $225 it is a bargin. I know you get what you pay for but is this machine really that bad?
Does anyone have any experience with this machine?
I realise it is light weight and maybe a bit small but it could always be fixed to a bench(I have the space) and have the table extended.
All comments welcome (even the dont buy GMC it's crap!!!)
Thank you all.

Peter, I have no qualms about GMC equipment. All of the GMC equipment I have is excellent value for money and all of my bits and pieces keep on working very well.
That said I would be hesitant about just how they send that through Australia Post for $13.45, because basically you cannot do that item for that amount of money. I send quite a few items through the post and have a rough idea of what things cost.
So the question is, where do they recover their money. Well I pondered this question some time ago when I was looking at purchasing a bench grinder and bench grinder stand. I looked at this same company on Ebay and yep, they had what I wanted. I then checked out the local GMC stocked hardware, not a Bunnings one by the way, I realised that there was a reasonable amount of difference in the Ebay price and the local hardware.
On Ebay I could source a new Bench Grinder stand for $85.00 plus a freight charge of $18.30 a total of $103.30
The going rate after looking for a fair bit of time is around the $75.00 for this item.
My local hardware had it on special for $57.00, needless to say I grabbed it.
The item I'm talking about is here on Ebay.

If that link doesn't work this is the item number 4340651979
I would suggest that the router set-up you are considering, would more than likely be cheaper at a local hardware and the bonus is that you can see and feel the item, then if you're satisfied, take one home.
Mick.

Peter, I agree with Mick that GMC stuff is reasonable value for money.
I seem to recall this router table has been discussed in these forums, I hope someone can direct you to the thread.
I also agree with Mick that you may get it cheaper elsewhere.
But like you I live in the sticks and beggars can't be choosers.
If you are comfortable with the cost go for it.
