Default bugger router has come back to bite.

Well after reading all the recent comments on problems with Triton routers low and behold the lifting device on mine has died, does anyone know or have a fix for this I can still adjust b manually but not with the lifter.

It is difficult to say what might have failed without pulling it apart as there a couple of plastic items inside there that have to engage with each other and can strip teeth off over time. Is your model the one that has the press button or the twist knob to disengage the manual wind up and down?
If you have a look through this disassembly tutorial by Ray Girling you will see some photos of the components that go into making up the winder mechanism.

There's a good chance it's part TRA148. If so, my club has one for sale: Google TOCACT.

Its a straightforward repair as long as you are methodical and have the tools (from memory, a socket to use as a punch to drive the columns out of the base...otherwise its all standard stuff. The Triton suffers from dust ingress if you don’t use a fence extraction hose. I was relying solely on downdraft dust collection which actually caused my problem. Unfortunately the repair does required the complete disassembly of the router.

Don’t try to force it...you will break the plastic parts. There are spares available from the UK if the local club doesn’t have your part. Another common dust related failure is the switch and sliding cover mechanism. My table mounted Triton will never be used elsewhere, so now is a Franken router...missing lots of parts, but it does have a one-eyed doll’s head grafted on.

Here's the link to Tool Spares Online's exploded parts diagram. It makes a handy reference for the repair. http://www.toolsparesonline.com/imag...2400w_push.pdf

There's no driving involved. I've done it quite a few times, and there is no 'driving'. Ray Girling's instructions are pretty clear.

I suppose hat depends on your definition of driving.
On edit...I just had a look at the linked instructions. My model is the later version with the metal height adjustment worm. Since the mechanism was frozen I had to do a complete disassembly. Hence the love taps with the socket to drive the columns out of the base. If there had been a way to bypass that I would have.
