Getting a bit sidetracked
Sorry it's been a while since I've shown any real progress, but in between the Canberra Show and a lot of driving over those two days, plus having my dog "fixed" I was finally starting to get back into doing some actual work the table again. If you look at the second pic in the post a couple before this one, you can see a set of "woody" looking veneered drawers in the bottom left of that pic. Well they now reside in the centre of the table all nice and snug. I'll post a pic of them tomorrow plus the 'new' drawers I've put in their place.
On another note, I may be becoming a bit sidetracked by some other designs and plans I've been looking at, and they have me thinking along some different lines. This will have me either altering my design even more OR building an extra table to incorporate these new ideas.
It's never an easy road trying to change someone else's designs midstream especially without the benefit of having put pen to paper at all, but making sawdust and shavings is not an easy road to travel.
Onwards and upwards.......I think.

Pics as promised....
Here are a couple of pics with the set of drawers in place under the router table top. Those big white drawers behind them are where they were initially from.
Those black things on top are obviously the router plates I'll be using for this table. They're just a couple of cheaper ones from Carba-tec.
The Incra table will have the nice thick aluminium Woodpeckers plate that I have ready and waiting for it to get done.
The ball rollers will be integrated into the riser mechanism for the horizontal router sled just to try and make it work more smoothly. At least that's the plan so far.
