    Default Carbitool Router Table

Just wondering if anyone has experience with one of these: Router Table - Carbitool

Looks like excellent value compared to the competition but only if the quality is up to scratch.

    Thanks in advance!

I don't know anything about that table and from the pictures it looks like a free standing one, is that right?
Have you considered a bench top unit like this for just a little more assuming you might have the room to use it on a bench. The only problem with this one is the table is bit smaller so if you are doing projects with longer pieces it might be too small so if you need the table size the Carbitool unit might be a good buy. I don't have a Kreg table but the brand seems to come with a good reputation.
Hopefully there is someone out there that has some knowledge of the unit you are looking at.

Thanks Dallas. I have room in the workshop for a freestanding table and generally make larger pieces of furniture so the larger table is what I'm after. I've generally been impressed by the quality of Carbitool products that I've purchased in the past so I think I'm pretty much sold on giving the table a go but definitely keen to hear from anyone with direct experience.

    Hi,

Don't have one of these but looked at one at a timber show a few years back. Seem to recall the router plate was plastic so wouldn't want to hang a big 8kg Triton under there. I'm happy with Carbitool router bits but I was not so impressed with the table. Just my view and perhaps the newer model is better.

    Regards,

    Brian

Thanks Brian. Even with the cost of an upgrade to an aluminium router plate the package is still considerably cheaper than most of the alternatives so still tempted. Will let you know how it goes....
