Cheap Router Bits - Any Recommendations?
Hi Folks,
I'm currently finishing off a cabinet for a guitar amp head. The cab is "Marshall-style" so has 3/4-inch rounded edges. I generally don't use a router much (prefer hand tools where possible) so the price of a good quality 3/4 rounding over bit is a bit too much for me, especially considering that this is a one-off. I've noticed that there are cheap bits on ebay and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? Normally I try to go for quality but in this case I'm prepared to make an exception and treat the bit as more-or-less disposable. After all, I only need to do eight edges.
I'm looking at something like this:
Woodworker Tool 1/4" x 3/4" Corner Rounding Over Router Bit Cutter 602451325581 | eBay
Thoughts?
Cheers,
Chris

Do yourself a favour and buy a brand name quality bit - Buy Products Online from China Wholesalers at Aliexpress.com - if you do a bit of a search you might even find it cheaper.

You make a few passes, the bit dulls and the smoke tells you that you have burnt the wood.
For all that you are doing, you might get away with it.
What's the wood? MDF by chance? Then, try to ignore the sparks.
