Hey guys and gals, I have got to make a new finger joint jig for the router table and have just realised that I am doing it backwards (yes I am slow on the uptake). What I mean is that I tend to pull the jig towards me with the workpiece on my side of the jig. I get a better feel for it and since the spiral upcut solid carbide is taking a full width cut I didn't think of it as strange. It also is easier to see what is going on and whether the workpiece moved compared to the piece on the far side of the jig. Come to think of it I tend to use the back support on the table saw crosscut sled rather than the front support that everyone else seems to use. Obviously I have to have full control the workpiece which usually involved a push stick holding it firm.

Just throwing it out there to see if there are any other weirdos like me.

Regards

Mike
