I think Criss,s comment was fair to be honest maybe a little short yes, but fair.
If it’s not bend and is square and thick enough, it is just a bit off aluminium and at that price quite reasonable.

Think I paid that much for a plastic one about 10 years ago. Its gotta be a step up from one of those.

I asked a clear question for someone with experience with the example I presented. What I got was an uncalled for narky answer that didn't answer the query. Would have been better to not say anything, it was just so unnecessary.
That said, people do mistakenly engage mouth/keyboard at times without thinking of the consequences, and by the sound of it it was one of those days, so I withdraw my remark.

The rest of the table I can make pretty easily.

I considered one of these last year when building a new router table. My concern was that it would be too small. I suggest that you check the dimensions for a fit with your router. In terms of thickness, as Chris implied, it will be strong enough to support the weight. They look well finished in the photos. I wound up getting an aluminium one from Timbecon, which has multiple sized hole inserts.

I looked at this one on Ebay and my only concern is the size of the hole in it, appears to me to be around 38mm max, that's fine if you don't intend to use bits that are this size or bigger, but if like me you have up to 50 mm diameter bits it would be a problem, just something to consider. Other than that I would have snapped one up.

One of the other items on ebay for apparently the same plate has just a trim router installed and it looks fully loaded.

The ones I looked at on Alibaba.com looked fine from the upper surface but a view from the underside revealed lots of webbing so I wonder about the actual surface thickness and whether, even with the webbing, how much weight it would support.

I think my brother has one of those, or one that looks remarkably similar.

The price you are quoting seems about right as well. Dimensions also seem about right.

He put his into a router table that is an extension wing of his Timbecon table saw that he picked up earlier this year. He has a Triton router hanging from it.

I'll try and find out for you.

I just measured my router and its 150mm diameter, way too big for these 120mm wide mounting plates, so all a moot point in retrospect. As mentioned above, these must be for trimmers only, so I'll have to chase down something bigger, or perhaps buy some 8mm aluminium plate and make my own.
