Default Elusive Triton Router Adaptor - TRA 359 for Leigh Jig (can anyone help?)

For xmas I was lucky enough to get the Leigh D4R Pro dovetail jig. I currently have the MOF001 Triton Router and was looking forward to combining the two.

But as is always the way, I need a new part. In the Leigh manual there's a table for Template Guide Bushings and Adaptor selection. The MOF001 needs the TRA359 router adaptor to work properly with the jig.

So I called the company where I got the jig. Who told me they had the part, which when I visited they did not have, and subsequently had trouble tracking down what the part actually was. But there was some great customer service as a result of the confusion and later on I was happy to discover that they were shipping the part directly to me from an alternate site.

But what turned up does not look like the part I was expecting. Just some bits of red plastic, a red cap and a black length of rectangular plastic. I had been expecting a metal guide bush plate like the one here:

So now I'm confused. What exactly is the TRA 359? If I can work that out I might be able to help the supplier source it.

    Help.

I think the part you will need is part of the TGA001 guide kit which also includes some bushes from Triton. Not sure if the part required can be purchased on it's own.

Not sure about the D4 family, but as mentioned by Les, the lower two photos from Ray Girlings site show the mounting plate that is part of the Template guide set, with the Leigh E7 template guide fitted. The mounting plate allows you to use the Triton routers with any form of Porter Cable compatible template guide. My E7 guide came with a star type retaining collar, and the pic of the back of the assembly appears to have a standard PC style ring style retaining collar.

The E7 guide is standard with the Superjig family and I suspect the later router table jigs. The guide section is not truly round, it is elliptical in form with about 0.010inch variation in overall diameter across it's rotational range. By rotating the guide portion it is possible to adjust clearances in 0.001 inch steps to fine tune clearances for a perfect fit.

I believe that there is also a larger guide version (E10 or E11?) based on the same concept used with the larger bits available for the D4 family.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.
