Can anybody set me on the right path?
I have a triton router table with the appropreiate triton router enscouned underneath. Now am trying to put a profile on a couple of 3mt lenghts of pine, my problem is when I stop feeding into the bit to move my hands further back along the lenght of pine there is an ident left at these spots ???
Just as well am not using anything expensive but still very frustrating all the same:mad

Peter I would suspect that you are not using any of the Triton feather boards (holdowns)? If you do then you would be just guiding the piece through and the featherboards with be keeping the piece agaist the cutter

Yes some feather boards or hold downs will fix your problem.

Peter, I think Barry and SilentC are on the money there. when youchange your grip yoiu are changing the pressure on the stock against the fence. Use the pressure fingers and allow them to hold the timber against the fence and table top then all you have to worry about is keeping a constant feed rate.
BTW, nice avatar, Peter

If you are using the Triton pressure fingers you may need to 'dial up' the pressure to keep the timber from flexing back. You are just feeding the timber thru', the plastic fingers are doing the positioning
At least you are not pushing too hard with your hands If the router table, insert rings and router insert do not line up perfectly level (a common event I think) then really leaning into the timber will cause it to flex, releasing pressure will let it come back leaving a bump - the opposite of what you have.

Doug after seeing your avatar I hunted high and low for another example of that incredible motion, not quite the same definition quality but I think it captures that hypnotic effect
