I think you'll find that the diameter of the recess in the router base to take the bushes is 1-3/16", not 30mm. The only place that I'm aware of that you can get a set of metric bushes is Axminster in the UK - UJK Technology Metric Threaded Guidebush Set - Router Guide Bushes - Routing - Power Tool Accessories - Accessories | Axminster Tools & Machinery

Any particular reason you want metric bushes? If you're going to be using imperial bits the imperial bushes are much more versatile.

Hi, the copying ring to take the guide bushings as supplied by Festool has a 27mm ID and a 30mm OD, The Rockler set that I have are all 1&3/16 diameter. Preferably I would like an imperial copying ring to accommodate the Rockler set, unfortunately Festool AU cannot help me. I have emailled Festool USA for advice... alternatively I will look at that axminster set you linked but I need to ensure they will fit my current ring... why does it need to be so hard??

Because Festool made it that way by not providing an adaptor with an industry standard size recess. You can rest assured that if they make a set of bushes to suit they would want an arm and a leg for them. So one of these is what you need - https://www.amazon.com/Festool-49356.../dp/B002U5UGFM The other possibility would be to fit an aftermarket base plate with a standard size recess in it?

Festool 493566 Guide Bushing Adapter | The Tool Nut This is the same shape as the one I currently have( which is this one https://www.festool.com.au/products/...-router_492185) but is not the same part number. However the link you suppliied is the same part number BUT a different profile???? SO HARD!

The part you've linked to has a guide bush integrated into the adaptor plate. There's actually 7 different sizes to fit the OF1400 on that site. The adaptor plate on Amazon is to take standard Porter Cable style bushes (1-3/16"). If you have a look at the product description on Amazon it states under 'From the Manufacturer' - 'Accepts industry standard two-piece threaded guide bushings'. It should do the job for you.

The forum is having hiccup's, I posted a reply and now it's disappeared.

Part 492185 (the part you have) is a 30mm bushing with integrated adaptor plate, it's not designed to have other hardware attached to it. Part no. 493566 is designed to take standard Porter Cable style bushes (1-3/16"). On both Amazon and Festool 493566 Guide Bushing Adapter | The Tool Nut it states, 'Accepts industry standard two-piece threaded guide bushings'. On the aforementioned site it also says, 'Use your existing guide bearings (they mean bushings) with this unique device'. If you have a close look at the picture on the aforementioned site you can even see the recess that the guide bush drops in to. The Amazon picture is a crock. Part 493566 will do the job for you.

Whoo! Now my previous post is back, must have been lost in the ether.
