Cool Guide Bushings for Dewalt Cordless Router and Plunge Base DCW604N ?

    Hi,

Can anyone please advise me the best way to go to get a guide bushing set for my Dewalt Cordless Router? I have the Australian distributed router with plunge base kit DCW604N

    details here: Home - Products - Powertools - Sanders, Planer, Routers, Jointers - Routers - 18V XR BRUSHLESS 8MM (1/4") ROUTER - BARE UNIT18V XR BRUSHLESS 8MM (1/4") ROUTER - BARE UNIT - DEWALT

It comes with a 17mm guide bush, centering cone and fixed and plunge base but the hole for the guide bush is 60mm wide i.e. not compatible with the Porta Cable bushing sets you can purchase. This appears to be different to the base plate sold with the same Dewalt router kit in the USA.

I could make my own base from acrylic similar to what Paul Jenkins did for his Makita cordless.

    see here: YouTube

Or I could make or purchase an adaptor for a Porta Cable style busing set if I could find one.

Or I could buy a Milescraft Turnlock baseplate & bushing set from Timbecon which might fit.

    see here: https://www.timbecon.com.au/milescra...te-bushing-set

Is there anyone in Oz who has this router and is using bushings?

    thanks

Zero advice so I've decided to go ahead with the 'Paul Jenkins' option (thanks Paul I appreciate your Youtube clips) and make my own base from acrylic.

Purchased a set of Powertec brass template guides via Amazon which I hope will work with both my Dewalt cordless trim router and a Bosch GOF 1600 CE:

    Hi Bush karma,
I have the same issue in NZ.
I purchased the O’Skool bushings from Amazon, which are the same as those from Porter Cable.
Any tips on fitting them to my cordless router?
I don’t know why deWalt doesn’t sell kits for these routers.
    Cheers
    Ravi
