    Default Help! Confusing myself

I'm confusing myself - maybe looking too much into it, I don't know but I'm trying to figure out which way to mount my triton router. I have my adjusting knob on the right with the lock off lever behind it (when table mounted) - I was comparing it to pics I've searched to try and compare but it seems there's is different, either knob on left etc.. Confusing !!!
So..... Regardless of where the adjusting knob etc is, when feeding timber against fence the cutter should be spinning ... Clockwise ???

I'm having an absolute brain fart, and reading other threads/looking at other pics of the triton is confusing me!

    Thankyou

    Andy

I've got mine the other way. It makes it a lot easier to handle the lock lever.

Mount it whichever way is most convenient to get at the locking lever, adjustment knobs and switch. The cutter should always be spinning counter clockwise looking down from above no matter which orientation you have mounted it from underneath, so I am a bit confused about your question. I just love my Triton router mounted in the table, hope you enjoy yours a lot too.

I've got mine mounted like this:

I prefer the winding handle on the right and the power switch on the left because that's how it's used hand-held. The thumb-lock and speed controller wheel are "round the back" in this configuration, but that's no big deal for me.

Ok so it has to be spinning counter clockwise.

I may be misreading but can you change the configuration of the adjustment knob ? Eg have it on right or left?

Yes, you can have it anywhere you like, but you need to position it so that you're happy with the access it allows you to get to and operate the controls.
