Magic Moulder
Did a search for Magic Moulder and was surprised to get zero results.
It looks like an interesting bit of gear ... http://magicmolder.com/
Anyone have any experience, or know of someone who does?
Cheerio!

Looks very interesting and a cheaper way to get into making mouldings... BUT...
In my books, the spindle moulder is one of, if not, the most hungry (meat) tool you could have in your shop.
If I was in a position to have use of a moulder of sorts, I would purchase a proper dedicated moulder WITH a power feeder.
Playing with all sorts of power tools over the last 40 years as a carpentologist, not many scare me but, the moulder has my utmost respect.
I love my digits and I still want to learn how to play the piano
If you plan on getting one of these magic moulder doohickeys, factor in a power feed.
Other than that it looks cool but I would still spring for a spindle moulder.

What I found interesting is that I have never had the slightest trouble with dado blades (such as kickback), but can't say the same for the spindle moulder. I should mention I made a sled for dado work, and that ensures the workpiece is firmly clamped and that my hands are nowhere near the blades.
Perhaps part of the issue with spindle moulders is that they rotate across the advancing workpiece, where the dado (and Magic Moulder) cut directly against the line of feed, making control of the workpiece easier. Also, unless one is doing something incredibly stupid, with the dado blade or similar, once the blade/cutter is in the wood the blade cannot come into contact with meat until it exits the workpiece.
I appreciate your thoughts about safety, but by my reckoning a dado or saw mounted moulder is likely at least as safe as a spindle moulder or similar.
Cheerio!
