    Default Makita 3620 Collet

I have the above Makita with the 1/4 inch collet. The locking nut for the collet and the shaft itself has quiet a bit of clearance which led me to wonder wether you can get a 8mm collet to fit in these routers?

Probably just wishful thinking on my behalf but would save alot on buying more bits fo me to use my new Leigh jig

I will answer my own question just in case anyone else is wanting to know. Just found my old manual and it lists four different collet cones available for the 3620. 6mm, 8mm, 1/4" and 3/8".

Hopefully I will be able to buy one tomorrow so I can use my new Leigh jig.

    Hi Burnsy
did the collets work out. I have the same router it came with two collets neither fit the Leigh router bits. Tried Carbi-tools they done have one. So any help would be good.
    thanks
