Mantle Clocks
Here is an example of why the template guides should be used when creating a project such as the Five Identical shaped clocks (one of the six has a smaller top section).
The 'Ski' mode was also required to be used for two of the processes (a) shaping the ends (b) routing the face of the clocks.
The small feet were also created on the same piece of materialLearn new Routing skills with the use of the template guides

In this instance I inserted the 90mm diameter. My original was 70mm dia I have still to sit down and put the details to paper as there were a few changes to the template construction for the original (Enclosed)
Also the Jig construction was designed to take the material positioned in three separate planes
(1) to rout the ends
(2) to rout the face, and the recess for the clock movement, also for routing the top shape
(3) The final stage was to rout the feet on the base of the clock
There was also the trimming of the top shape as the cutter was not long enough to rout the full thickness of materialLearn new Routing skills with the use of the template guides

Thanks Tom, I like the design and I'm thinking of making one myself. I'll print off a copy and have a closer look.
