Porter Cable
Hi there,
what makes Porter cable so good because in a lot of the magazines i read the people are using a Porter cable router. Is Porter cable better in triton routers.
Thanks Ben

Porter-Cable's Model 7518 is considered one of the best table routers around. Their Model 690 is an old and tested design at a reasonable price. The Model 89x is their current hand/table offering and good all-rounder.
That said, the Triton is a good router, the larger one best used in a table. Besides, I do not believe Porter-Cable is offering routers in OZ at this time, so the question may be moot.Cheers,
Bob

Carba-tec had them years ago but removed them from their stock. I think they found them hard to shift. They were also exy.

Yes.
IIRC Vek Tools may have, or have had, one or two.
I've been reading up on router reviews for fun andprofiter, loss What's interesting is the emergence of units swappable between a fixed and a plunge base.
The reviews are all US I think and many models aren't available here. However, if you're interested here's some sites:

Oh, and the DeWalt 625E is longer being brought into Australia, and the Makita 3612C is soon to be replaced by a new model.
Cheers, Ern
