Lightbulb Post your Router Table pictures here...

been searching for router tables in this site and found lots, I am new here and new to router use as well. I beleive that it would be best for begginers like me to find new ideas on our builds(router table and fence) if there is a common place to find them, hence this thread.
please post also the over all measurements and materials used if possible.
looking forward to your help and cooperation....
    cheers

    G'day timber175,

There are too many shots in my thread to put them up here, but have a look through it and you'll see what I did.

Thanks Timber175, I set out to make it a WIP so that anyone also wanting to make a r/table might be helped by my experience.

Thanks Groggy, I couldn't work out how to get the scale of the bloke in Ketch-up to the right scale in relation to my height.

    Hi timber 715
If you you are doing it on the cheap, he's a picture of a budget priced router table/saw bench.
The base has a series of holes that are spaced to match a hole at one end of the fence and a slot at the other end that allows two bolts with wing nuts to to hold the fence in position and allow finer adjustments.

thaks for the post BRD, that should give people like me ideas to choose from... pls keep em coming. the more options we have the better...
btw I'm doing my fence while I'm deciding on what to do with my table...

I have a question that puzzles me for a while now..., why are most router mounted at the center of the table, when you can mount it a bit futher back, or cut the table's width shorther at the back portion (to save space or to have a wider work area at the front). Is there an advantage to mounting it at the center besides stability for the table as against mounting it slightly futher to the back? Its just something that stops me from finishing my router table.

Here is one not so elegant but very serviceable. Base is made of 4x2's laminated together. Top is from Rockler.
    Cheers,

    Bob

Just a quick reply to BRD and his budget table. It was actually the safety manual that suggested to me mounting my circular upside down. "Don't ever do this..." And I thought... that would be handy.
My question for you is: how do you switch it on and keep it on?
My question for the group: is this in anyway safe?

    Boz
