Default Recommended Dimensions for Router Table

Dakota Deluxe Router Table - The Woodworkers Institute

I have seen this router table and fancy making my own to a similar spec. Can someone please recommend the dimensions to use for the base, for the sliding rails and anything else I may not have considered?

    Thank you,

    Kind Regards,

    Shaun.

    Shaun,
    Welcome to the forums.
I'm making a table at the moment and it will be (about) 800x600, mainly because I have some pieces of MDF about that size.
As far as mitre slot etc. positioning goes, still to be decided.

You might want to do some searching of this forum for more router tables as built by members or take a look at routerfforums.com.
As the name suggests, it's a forum devoted to routing and has some good desings and ideas.

Thank you for your reply. Uncannily, someone was getting rid of a piece of kitchen worktop today with dimensions 600mm x 900mm, so I may be making something of a very similar size. Please link me up to pictures as and when you make progress.

Does anyone know the best place/way to source parts such as a mitre fence, T track etc for such a project in the UK?

Axminster seems to sell most of that stuff I think. Otherwise amazon uk was pretty good when I was living in Italy.
